Tour Overview
Conquer Africa's third-highest peak, the legendary Margherita Peak (5,109m) on Mount Stanley in the UNESCO-listed Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Known since antiquity as the 'Mountains of the Moon', the Rwenzoris offer Africa's most mystical, botanical, and alpine climbing experience.
The 8-day Central Circuit trek traverses five distinct ecological vegetation zones: lush montane cloud forest, bamboo groves, giant heather forests draped in Spanish moss, and surreal afro-alpine moorlands populated by towering giant lobelias and groundsels. Reach the permanent glaciers of Mount Stanley with technical rope teams, crampons, and ice axes. Supported by certified Bakonzo mountaineering guides, mountain porters, and camp chefs.
