Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage and one of the Five Pillars of Islam, performed during the month of Dhul Hijjah. It is obligatory for every Muslim who is physically and financially able to perform it at least once. Umrah is a non-mandatory pilgrimage that can be performed any time of the year and is often called the "lesser pilgrimage."
Hajj applications should ideally be submitted 6–12 months in advance as Uganda's Hajj quota fills quickly. We recommend contacting us as soon as you intend to go. We handle all registration paperwork with the Uganda Hajj and Umrah Commission (UHAC).
Yes! Umrah can be performed any time throughout the year. However, Ramadan Umrah is considered especially meritorious, equivalent in reward to performing Hajj alongside the Prophet (PBUH) according to some Hadith.

You will need a valid Ugandan passport (minimum 6 months validity), vaccination certificates (meningitis is mandatory), and completed Saudi visa forms. We handle the entire visa application process for you.
Standard mountain gorilla permits in Uganda are $800 USD per person for foreign non-residents ($700 for foreign residents). Gorilla Habituation (4 hours with researchers) is $1,500 USD. Siiru Tours & Travels Ltd secures your permits directly through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).
Uganda is a year-round destination thanks to its equatorial altitude. However, the dry seasons (December to February and June to September) provide ideal hiking trail conditions for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, and optimal game viewing around waterholes.
